    Description

    Handsome fold-out 1968 American Oil Company road map of Alaksa and western Canada, printed more than 49 years ago.
    This map opens to 18" X 33" and has great detail on old highway alignments and route numbers, with cartography by Rand McNally.
    There's a map of southeastern Alaska with part of British Columbia and Yukon on one side; on the other side there's a map of Alberta and British Columbia.
    The map was published by the American Oil Company in 1968 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 8-5210-19.
    There's an American service station sign with its distinctive red torch logo on the front cover.
