Handsome fold-out 1977 Amoco road map of the central United States, printed more than 42 years ago.
The map opens to 27" x 18" and has great detail on old highway alignments, with cartography by the National Survey.
The coverage area includes Arkansas, Illinois, Minnesota, Missouri, Louisiana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin, Texas, Oklahoma, Iowa, and Nebraska.
The front cover photograph shows the Pioneer Village, a museum and tourist attraction on U.S. Highway 6 in Minden, Nebraska.
On the back cover there is a full-panel ad for Coachmen recreational vehicles, with four color photographs.
Other advertisers include Best Western, Wisconsin Dells, House on the Rock, and Dairy Queen.
The map was published by the Amoco Oil Company in 1977 and is dated in the legend.
