Here is a "RARE" Antique Very High Quality Ideal Sewing Companion Tool Kit by W. H. & W. M. #3008, Toledo, Ohio.(See Pictures #1 & #2). The tools are all very high quality and consist of: A handled cutter with the razor blade on the end(See Picture #2, 3 & #5). A handled tool with a pick on the end(See Pictures #2, 3, 7 & #9). A spare paper holder of blades for the razor blade(See Picture #2 & #4) that reads IDEAL SEWING COMP BLADES. There is a blade in the paper holder.
The Ideal Sewing Comanion Tool Kit is in "EXCELLENT" Original Condition.
Of the tools this last one I believe was not part of the Original Companion Tool Kit but what an addition: A multi-faceted tool that reads as follows Compliments of "THE BOYLE NEEDLE CO."--An Advertisement Read Daily--(See Picture #10) with the following tools: On one end a screwdriver--with the Patent Date on the other side--Pat Oct 6, 1914---(See Pictures #10, 11 & #12). ON the other end is a cutter and a pick. ON the opposite side(Picture #11) there a black sharpening stone for sharpening needles.
(Picture #1) shows the Companion Kit as loaded up with all the tools in the Original Companion Tool Kit. In (Pictures #6 & #8) on the ends of the cutter and Pick it reads: PAT. PENDING My guess for age of this kit is in the 1914 to 1930 range.
