    BEAUTIFUL POLISHED ORTHOCERAS FOSSILIZED CEPHALOPODS 13" TALL FROM MOROCCO. OVER 400 MILLION YEARS OLD. WEIGHT IS 6# 14 OZ.
    ORTHOCERAS ARE EXTINCT MEMBERS OF THE CEPHALOPOD CLASS.   MODERN MEMBERS INCLUDE NAUTILUS, SQUIDS & OCTOPUS.  THEY FIRST APPEARED DURING THE SILURIAN PERIOD 410-435 MILLION YEARS AGO IN THE SEAS OF THE JURASSIC AND CRETACEOUS PERIODS.
