pre-WWI Era US Army Model 1904 Hospital Corps Knife Marked: US SA 1912 with Leather Scabbard Marked: Rock Island Arsenal 1917 - Very Nice Condition - RARE
Up for sale is an Original pre-WWI Era US Army M1904 Hospital Corps Knife with Leather Scabbard.  The blade has a bright finish with some minor discoloration spots. One small chip at the end of the blade, see photo.  No evidence of excessive sharpening.  Nor rust or pitting.  The blade is marked: SA 1912 on one side and US 24828 on the other side.  The walnut grips are in good condition, see photo's.  No cracks, just normal nicks and handling marks. The leather scabbard is the 2nd pattern with the Krag Style Belt Loop. The scabbard is marked: Rock Island Arsenal 1917.  No rips or tears in the leather.
The leather is soft and supple, all seams are intact.  The tip is still intact, no splitting of the seams.  Please see photo's for condition.  Very Hard to find them in this condition.
