Primar reflex II
is a
medium format
reflex
camera made by
Bentzin
in Görlitz, Germany. The company founder, Curt Bentzin, had manufactured an impressive line of cameras from 1889 on.
It was an inspiration for modern medium format cameras like the Hasselblad, the Zenza Bronica and others.
This is The postwar camera model.C
ameras for export outside the DDR were labeled
Primar-Reflex II
on the front plate.
On right side is mark :
Feinopt. Werk Görlitz
and on hood
is impressed
Primar Görlitz,
so,this is the last version of PRIMARFLEX"

Mechanicelly :
The Shutter
is a focal plane type providing speeds from 1 to 1/500th of a second, T and bulb.Built-in flash synchronization, exposure counter, magnifier on reflex view finder
.
Shutter speeds seems to be ok,except for lower speeds.1/1sec looks to be a bit longer.
The previous owner recently took a few films with good results
Image counter is functional.The mirror is very worn,with spots,stains,but usable.
Visually is very nice,ideal for collectors or photographers.
