RARE Vintage McElroy S600 tear drop telegraph Morse code CW key ham radio bug

Description

For auction is a vintage, hard to find and beautifully constructed McElroy S600 "Tear Drop" telegraph Morse code key/bug. Item being sold as found and has not been cleaned, cleaning will be left to the winning bidder if they choose to do so. Item is from a smoke free home. Please see all pictures as they are part of this description. Item is in good overall condition, but does show areas of wear/age. Item is intact and functioning, but has not been tested and/or transmitted with since removal from collection. Item retains it's original T.R. "MAC" McElroy label on it's base and also includes each of it's three original, matching bottom feet as picture nine displays. Both the knob and finger piece are intact and original. Item also includes it's original shorting lever and shorting lever knob. Item does include all of it's matching, knurled metal parts as well. All original screws appear to be also included and item does include one original, McElroy weight. As previously mentioned and shown, all parts appear to be original with exception to perhaps one spring. It is not very often lately these MAC 'tear drop' bugs show up much less show up with almost every original part including the knob(s), finger piece, weight and bottom feet. Item may need adjustment by the winning bidder to fit their style of sending. Whether left as is or given some TLC and/or a deep cleaning, this hard to find McElroy S600 key is one of the most sought after vintage telegraph keys ever made. Item surely has much potential to be a great addition to your CW ham radio station and/or Morse code key assortment.
