Here's a chance to add a useful Singer tool to your vintage accessories.
This item is not only collectible, but extremely useful as well, when fully operational.  Its name says it all, "Material Gripper," and "Third Hand," according to the Singer literature.  Its part # 121318 and "SIMANCO U.S.A." are stamped on the piece, to confirm its authenticity.
There is also a COPY of a single page leaflet that would have come with it originally, and is a warning rather than instructions for use.  There is a half page in Singer's teacher textbook,
Machine Sewing
, which mentions this along with another tool, and I'll send a COPY of this as well.  Finally, I'll send a copy of a page which shows this item in use.
I've taken pictures of both sides, from different angles on each side, so that you can see exactly what you're getting.
I consider this nice tool to be in
fair to good used
condition - there are small marks of wear and/or age, and the green felt is missing.  Also, the top part of the section that holds the attachment to the table is missing and came to me with the bolt you see in most of the pictures.  When in place, this wiggles slightly and I've provided an additional bolt which fits snugly but has a smaller surface area - see the last picture.  Either of these bolts makes this attachment operational, but should be used with care to prevent damage to any table it may be attached to.  This could also be improved with new felt, and possibly a different bolt.  Please examine all the photos carefully, and form your own opinion of its condition.

Returns
