    Description

Red Wing Pottery Beautiful Large Prismatique Vase by Belle Kogan. Condition is "Used". Piece does have a few small nicks/chips on points of the feet. As can see in the pics. Not as notice when standing.
    Measures 11”in by 6 1/2”.
This is a Red Wing Prismatique vase (797) designed by Belle Kogan between 1962-1967. This vase is Mandarin Orange in an eggshell finish and the interior is a cream colored in what one might call semi-gloss finish.  The vase stands 11" tall and 6-1/2" across the top.
It is in very good condition with the exception of a few chips at or near the base. Five of the six flanges have chips but they are hard to see when the vase is standing. There are small chips at four of the tips of the bottom flanges.  There is one larger chip on one of the bottom flanges.  It is the most visible. There are no cracks.  See photos.
This 1960s mandarin orange ceramic compote from the Prismatique line was created by Belle Kogan, a nationally known industrial designer who turned out the first of her 100 Red Wing Potteries commissions in
Designer Belle Kogan found inspiration for her Prismatique line at the dentist's office in 1962. Struck by the faceted geometry of a tooth's roots, she fabricated a cardboard model that later served as the basis for the line. Cast in 15 different shapes and decorated with five different glazes, Prismatique became the most popular of Kogan's Red Wing Potteries designs."
