Vintage Vibroplex Brass Racer EK-1 w/ Wood Base & Internal Curtis 8044 Keyer

Description

This listing is for a vintage preowned Vibroplex Brass Racer, model EK-1 Iambic paddle with integrated Curtis keyer.  This is a rare version with a triangular brass frame and wood base.  No springs are used and tension is adjustable through internal magnets.  The base has a integrated circuit board with 16 pin 8044 keyer chip designed by John Curtis K6KU which runs on a battery.  The stock battery is a model 175 which is made from four LR 44's.  I replaced the battery with 4 x LR44's and the keyer unit works great and the speed is adjustable from the wheel on the right side.  I did not attempt to clean the brass but it would benefit from a minimal cleaning.  See the photos as this is the unit you will receive.
