    Description

WWI US Model 1913/17 English Enfield Rifle Bayonet.  Bayonet measures 21.5" overall with a blade length of 17".  Blade is excellent, two toned on ricasso and rest of blade. Grips are very good showing some light wear, some light dings.  Excellent working press-stud, bayonet is tight with no looseness.  Ricasso markings: "1913/6-17 REMINGTON" Opposite side has British Markings and crossed of with U.S. Stamping Twice.
These bayonets were made under British Contract by Remington and were made for the British Pattern 1914 Rifle.  When the US joined the War, they took over the manufacturing, thus the U.S. stampings and the crossing out of British markings.  The scabbard is G&K E.I.C. marked.  GK stands for Graton & Knight from Worcester Massachusetts. EIC being inspector markings.   See photos for further details, clarification, and condition.   A great looking piece!
